 The Wisconsin Humane Society’s calendar contest is back and entries are now being accepted!

 

One lucky beauty will be chosen for the highly coveted cover photo and twelve others will be selected as a “Pet of the Month.” The first 500 photographs submitted are guaranteed to be included in the calendar. Thousands of copies of the calendar will be printed.

 

There is a $10 non-refundable entry fee for each photo. All proceeds from the calendar benefit the shelter animals. Local celebrity judges will determine the top 13 photos.

Josie is the dog you see on billboards and in commercials with Danny Gokey for Wisconsin Vision. She has also been seen on Fox 6 with Linda Braun, Founder of WisconsinWags.com. Josie can be frequently seen at dog events around town including HAWS events and EBHS events.

Josie is an American Bulldog, about 1 1/2 years old. She was adopted from HAWS of Waukesha. Her family had always wanted an American Bulldog, and were waiting for the right one at a shelter. She met the other dogs in the family at the annual HAWS Walkathon and they interacted so well, that the family knew she was right for them.

WisconsinWags.com spoke to Josie about her experience shooting commercials and what advice she would give to aspiring dog celebrities.
